Gorgeous ocean motifs take center stage in this romantic and whimsical shoot, from the iridescent scale design on the invitation suite to the glittering aqua sequins of the Sweetheart Table to the pearl accents scattered throughout. Even the bride’s bouquet of dusty green air plants looks as if it could have been picked from an undersea garden. The ruffled wedding cake in delicately tinted ombre shades of sea green is set on a hand tied net adorned with ocean pearls. A color palette of copper and aqua adds a perfectly modern twist to this seaside fairy tale.
The bride rising from the cliffs calls to mind fairy tales of mermaids leaving the ocean to find their love. Most true ocean myths involve the phases of the moon, and the gold dust trail the full moon leaves on the ocean is truly the stuff fairy tales are made of. Glowing lanterns illuminate the couple once the sun has gone down, adding to the romance of the night and the brilliant moon.

With all the natural beauty surrounding the Pacific Northwest, it's enough to make you believe there's something more waiting just below the surface... like a beautiful mermaid ready to leave the sea to join her love on shore.
Taking inspiration from the subtle glamor inherent in the Pacific coast, Becca of B. Jones Photography and Rachel of Manette Gracie Events put a modern twist on the idea of the sea side fairy tale-- the shimmer and shine of the sun reflected in the rich gold and sparkling blue of the table setting, the golden-hour light bringing out the luster of the pearl accents, and a bouquet that could've been plucked from the most beautiful garden on the ocean floor.
A clifftop overlooking Rosario Beach in Anacortes provided the perfect vista to watch the full moon rise over our couple, the "Happily Ever After" to our "Once Upon A Time"
