The bride got ready in the penthouse suite at the Sorrento Hotel. The bridal crew wore matching silk robes in shades of Navy & white. After she slipped into her gown, she did a first look with her dad. I LOVE this new tradition! I hope everyone does this. The couple opted to take a traditional approach to their wedding photos by not doing a first look prior to the ceremony. He saw her for the first time as she walked down the aisle at their church. After the vows were said, rings exchanged and their nuptials sealed with a kiss, the bridal party made their way to greenlake park for portraits. Finding parking at green lake park for 5 vehicles was a nightmare on memorial day weekend. Since then, whenever the wedding couple chooses a public location for photos in the seattle area, I always recommend that they hire a car service that can provide transport for anyone they want to be part of the photos. I’ve done this for most weddings and it really elimantes the stress of navigating downtown & finding parking. As an added bonus to hiring a car service, your photo time is more productive because we’re not spending time to park at each location and walk to the photo spot. But I digress, back to this beautiful downtown wedding at the Sorrento Hotel. After their bridal party photos at Greenlake Park in seattle, it was time for the reception to begin in the ‘top of the town’ room at the Sorrento! The couple shared a gourmet meal with their wedding guests and performed a lovely first dance. The bride danced with her dad and the groom with his mom. Once the dance floor opened up, the party really got lit!
